It was a good time again to follow mom to Korea with her colleagues.

Arrived at Incheon International Airport in early morning.  Very exciting!!!
First breakfast in Seoul, just plain Udon (only boiled egg, tofu and noodle) but it tasted good.
Namiseom or Nami Island was the next destination.  This place is well-known through a TV drama, "Winter Love Song".
This island has a wide grassplot, chest-nut trees, birches, ginko trees, maples, etc.
Equipped with facilities for recreation and accommodation.
Here was our room for two (mom & me) on the first night.
On second day, we went to Seoraksan National Park.
Went up to the mountain by cable car.
Next to see how they planted strawberries.  Amazing!!!
The most interesting place for me was here!!! YongPyong Ski Resort where I can practiced skiing.
I wanted to be a snowboy!!!  I touched (man-made) snow!!  Yippie!!
Look!! How fast I could learn!!
On the next day, I visited The Blue House where is the executive office and official residence of the President of the Republic of South Korea.  Here is the monument on road in front of the Blue House, administrative building in background.

Gyeongbokgung Palace or Gyeongbok Palace, is a royal palace located in northern Seoul, South Korea. It was the main and largest palace of the Joseon Dynasty and one of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty.  The name of the palace, "Gyeongbokgung," translates in English as "Palace Greatly Blessed by Heaven."  At the back of me is the National Folk Museum where located in the northern section of the palace.
There are several exhibition halls showing a wide selection of Korean culture and history.

The Lifestyle of the Korean People.

Quite interesting for me although I'd never watched this drama before
Walking and running around the folk village
I tried to cook in Korean Style.
Walking and shopping in the market.  Oh!! No!! Smelly Kimchi!!!
Folk Village in Dae Jung Guem Theme Park
Knock..Knock!!
Ready to go back home!!!
Here were the Korean Food I tried; Dak Galbi, stir-frying marinated diced chicken in a chili pepper paste (but this one was not spicy) based sauce and sliced cabbage, sweet potato, scallions, onions and rice together in hot plate.
Bibimbap, is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with vegetables and chili pepper paste.  A raw or fried egg and sliced meat are common additions.  The ingredients are stirred together thoroughly just before eating.

Seafood Hot Pot

Samgyetang, made of the whole chicken with glutinous rice and boiled in a broth of ginseng.

Shabu Shabu
Here was one of my best trips!!
