Paradise on Earth@Krabi (Ko Lanta)::Apr 07::

Heading to the sea is the most common thing we normally do when summer comes.  Krabi was decided to be our destination.  Just off Thailand’s south western coastal town of Krabi, on the east side of Phang Nga Bay, exists a unique, unspoiled tropical island: Ko Lanta Yai. Ko Lanta Yai preserves its community spirit in both family and business life. With clear, cool waters and superb white sand beaches stretching along a 27 kilometer coastline, its paradisiacal appeal remains unmarred by mass tourism. The island, which reaches a height of almost 500 meters at its extreme end, also boasts a mountain range covered with rain forest.

Going to Ko Rok, Just one hour away by speed boat, to the south of Lanta, are the twin limestone islands of Ko Rok Nok and Ko Rok Nai, within the boundary of Ko Lanta’s National Marine Park on the edge of Thailand’s national boundary line.

Ko Rok is the best snorkeling spot with waters that have over 30 metres of superb visibility.

Virgin-white powder sands and crystal clear sea seem like a dream advertisement. Just off shore on Ko Rok is a square mile of coral reef with an underwater world waiting to captivate you.

It's easy to spend the whole day snorkeling among the square kilometres of abundant coral and colorful underwater sea life.
